My College Transitions 

 

My Senior year of high school I was recruited by Mesabi Range community college to play Juco football. It is located in Virginia; Minnesota on the Iron range and it is a small college with a population of 1,021 undergraduates. There I took my generals and played football. After the end of the fall semester. I decided that Mesabi was not a good fit for me and transferred to Normandale community college in Bloomington, Minnesota  to focus on my academics. At Normandale I chose to major in communications because they did not have a journalism major. While at Normandale I had a great experience and the Professors showed that they cared about your future. After my freshman year I decided that I still wanted to play football and transferred to Grossmont community college. I went to Grossmont community college for my fall semester of my sophomore year to play football. It was a different experience. With the weather, school, and the new environment. Football didn’t go great there and over time I didn’t enjoy it anymore. After the end of my fall semester at Grossmont I transferred back to Normandale for the spring semester. I decided to do things my way, so that I would have a better chance to transfer into a big university. I finished out the spring semester there. Then transferred to the University of Minnesota for my fall semester. I went to the University of Minnesota my junior year. I no longer play football and only go to school for my education. I really enjoy being at the University of Minnesota and have made many connections and friends. I think that I made the right decision coming to this university. I will be graduating this summer of 2022.
